One player who did notice the banner was Chargers wide receiver Tyler Holden.
"I saw it as I was coming out," Holden said. "I was trying to interpret it. . . . I spoke to the cheerleaders about it after the game, and they did not mean it in a sexually derogatory manner. They were embarrassed."
The banner, Lacy said, was not a reflection of the school or of the team. "It's a reflection of those three girls."
